The Most Important Follow-Ups of Our Life

When it's new life you don’t leave it to chance

We’re officially 8 days out from Maverick Alexander’s due date!!!

The countdown is as real for me as when I stood on the dance floor for a decade waiting for David Guetta to come out from behind the curtain…

That kind of real…kinda hehe

Side note, 10 years of sober anniversary in 2 days, WOW!!

Minor digression ;)

Back to parenting, like any parents getting ready for a newborn…

We’ve been doing follow-up on top of follow-up on top of follow-up.

Actually, my wife has been doing it like a champion, I’ve been there to support her and how awesome she’s been.

Doctor check-ins. Hospital confirmations. Insurance calls. Car seat checks. Pediatrician setup. Family traveling in. NEW VAN, yes we bought a van, we made it to the club, whoa…

It’s like running a military operation except the general is my wife and I’m just doing my best not to screw anything up.

Here’s what makes sense to me…

When stakes are THE highest follow-up isn’t a pain in the ass, it’s coated in NOTHING BUT LOVE. A DEEP CARE.

We keep calling for a variety of reasons. We keep calling because it matters.

We confirm every detail, it’s a must. We confirm as it’s the most important event in the world to us.

We’re following up because of what is at stake!

Same goes for business.

This isn’t us following up out of “convenience,” that wouldn’t settle well with us.

We’re in hyper follow up because it’s the welcoming of our new son and we’re committed to making sure it goes as best as it could possibly go.

In what world would this type of follow up be identified as bothersome?

Hell no, it’s responsibility!

You’re responsible for the opportunity…responsible for the prospect’s best interest…responsible for your vision, your future, your family.

SoOoO yeah, if we dont hear back from a doctor, better believe we’re calling again.

Not tomorrow. Not next week when they’re less busy. Today. Now. My wife has put this on display many times in the last fews weeks/month, she wasn’t messing around.

In case you didn’t notice it’s not a to do list for us, this is our baby. Our family. Another legend of the Vargas family, our heart, about to be born into this world.

Take this as you wish for today…

If it matters, follow up like a parent. Follow up like someone’s counting on you. Follow up like the stakes couldn’t be higher because it’s deeper than another item to cross off a list.

You’re expecting, and you wouldn’t expect anything less than the best…

See ya next week Follow Up Fam.
