That’s the exact text I got back after a follow-up.

Here’s why that tiny reply proves what I sound like a broken record on…

Context, we had a scheduled meeting, I called and did the norm, no answer on his part.

Later that day while I was out trash truck hunting with Legendary Lincoln he calls me back, I pick up and he begins to apologize.

My son is in the back singing, he says, “sounds like you’ve got hands full.”

I said, "yes, hunting trash trucks with my 3 year old.”

He laughs.

I say on the phone, the same thing you read above. Send me over some times via text and we will lock it in…

Mind you the text above is a screenshot from days after this phone call back I mention here.

I, AGAIN followed up that evening to say, thank you and to remind him to send over the times that would work for him…

Nothing.

A simple “? :)” a few days after, we book the meeting.

Today’s message is simple.

Like I always say, most make it harder on themselves than it has to be.

Trash trucks for my son. Follow-up replies like this for me.

We all have something we hunt.

Not sure about you but there’s a tremendous THRILL in the hunt…

Most people make follow-up harder than it has to be so what if your job is to find the thrill in it?
